Training Disclaimer

What KPMS training is, what it is not, and what it does not guarantee.

Version 1.0-draft · Effective Pending owner approval

DRAFT FOR OWNER/LEGAL REVIEW — this document has been prepared for review by the KPMS owner and, where appropriate, by an attorney. It has not been legally reviewed or approved and should not be relied upon as legal advice.

Educational training simulator

KPMS is an educational healthcare revenue-cycle training simulator. Every lesson, work queue, claim, remittance, appeal, and capstone exercise is an educational simulation designed to build administrative skill.

KPMS is not a live electronic health record (EHR). KPMS is not a live patient accounting, practice management, billing, or clearinghouse system, and must never be used to manage real patient accounts.

Fictional data

All patients, payers, plan names, policy numbers, claim numbers, remittances, correspondence, and dollar amounts used in KPMS training are fictional and were authored for instruction. Any resemblance to a real person, employer, provider, or health plan is unintended.

No medical, legal, coding, or compliance advice

KPMS does not provide medical advice. KPMS does not provide legal advice. Nothing in KPMS should be treated as advice about a specific real patient, account, claim, appeal, contract, or compliance obligation.

Real payer rules, federal and state laws, regulations, billing requirements, coding rules, timely-filing and appeal deadlines, and organizational procedures change over time and vary by payer and employer. Always independently verify current requirements and follow your employer’s policies when working in an actual healthcare environment.

Certificate of Completion

KPMS currently awards a Certificate of Completion to learners who meet the published requirements, including the minimum passing score for lessons and modules and completion of the capstone.

The Certificate of Completion evidences completion of KPMS training only. It is not a professional certification, licence, registration, accreditation, or government-recognized credential. Where an employer or state requires a specific credential, it must be obtained separately from the awarding body.

No guarantees

KPMS does not guarantee employment. KPMS does not guarantee job placement, interviews, or any wage or salary outcome.

KPMS does not guarantee professional licensure or certification, nor any result on a third-party certification examination.
